What is excellent cellulose acetate granules ?

Cellulose acetate (CA) granules are thermoplastic cellulose ester polymer granular raw materials prepared by the acetylation chemical modification of natural cellulose as the core feedstock, referred to as CA granules for short. They are among the most mature types with the optimal processability in industrial applications among cellulose derivatives, presenting a regular particle form in white or translucent appearance, and can be directly used in plastic molding processes such as extrusion, injection molding and blow molding.

It has excellent thermoplasticity and melt fluidity, compatible with mainstream plastic molding processes such as extrusion and injection molding. With low molding shrinkage and high dimensional stability of finished products, its processing temperature ranges from 180 to 230℃, featuring low production threshold, controllable energy consumption and favorable production cost. The finished products have superior optical properties with high transparency and good gloss, balanced mechanical properties, as well as resistance to weak acid, weak alkali and most organic solvents. Easy to color and surface-modify, it can meet customized product demands. It has good compatibility with various additives and resins for blending modification to expand performance boundaries, with low smoke density and no toxic gas emission during combustion. The industrial production technology is mature with stable supply capacity.
